It’s unofficially Gator Country at Advanced Podiatry however we never like to see anybody suffer a foot or ankle surgery including our upstate rivals, the Florida State Seminoles. Unfortunately for them, they have lost one of their top play-makers, Bobo Wilson, after he underwent season-ending surgery on his right foot. At this point, we can only speculate on the exact injury that sidelined Wilson however what we do know is that he initially got hurt on October 15 against Wake Forest and was unable to put any pressure on his foot. Despite all efforts to rehab and get back on the field, team doctors decided that it was in his best interest to undergo surgery.
Here at Advanced Podiatry, our medical team shares the same philosophy with all our sports injuries. We always exhaust all our conservative options before exploring any surgery. Whether it’s a custom orthotic to support the weakened structures in your foot or physical therapy to strengthen any injured muscles – we have the right treatment for you. We also specialize in alternative and regenerative medicine that includes Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), Ozone therapy, and Prolotherapy.
Bobo Wilson was second on the team in receiving yards and one of the top punt returners on special teams. Though this injury effectively ends his career as a Seminole, we know he’ll be back stronger than ever with the right medical treatment. Don’t let an injury stop you from performing at your best. If you are hurt, call us at 813-875-0555 and make an appointment to come see one of our podiatrists today. We wish Wilson a speedy recovery!
