Although I don’t know exactly who came up with the phrase, they may have been referring to their…canine?!?! Yep, contrary to popular belief that dogs sweat through salivating, they actually sweat through their paws!!!
Regardless of how we humans or canines perspire, it’s important to keep your sweaty paws or feet nice and dry in the summer heat. Use breathable materials such as cotton socks or mesh top shoes to decrease the amount of sweat during the summer. And, of course, using drying powders or new liquid powders help prevent excessive sweating as well.
If you have problems with your paws staying too sweaty, call Advanced Podiatry at 813-875-0555 for an appointment today!
