Tampa Podiatrist Dr. Marc Katz Discusses Foot Injuries Going Into the Superbowl

Well the big day is around the corner, Super Bowl XLVI.  If you ask rookie linebacker, Jacquian Williams, he is good to go for the game.  However, he has suffered a sprained foot and is wearing a walking boot to protect the injury.  He had an MRI that showed no broken bones and only a sprain.  Williams sat out for recent practice with several other New York Giants team members so he will be ready to go for the game.  They are all ready to take on the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI.

Ahmad Bradshaw also feels ready for the big match on Sunday.  He fractured one of the metatarsals of his right foot back in November and is still having some foot pain.

Whether you are a famous athlete or a casual runner, your podiatrist is your friend when it comes to these types of foot problems and injuries.  There is no other doctor that is better trained to help you get back to you sport or your daily activities.

Dr. Marc Katz, a Tampa podiatrist, treats injuries and fractures of the foot and ankle each day in his practice.  Other common conditions include heel pain and ingrown toenails. He educates his patients on prevention and often refers them for physical therapy after the injury.  Katz says that a team approach is key.
