Dr. Kinna Patel was born and raised in South Florida. She completed her undergraduate studies at New York University where she received a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Middle Eastern Studies. Her doctorate degree was obtained at Temple University in Philadelphia where she served on the student council board for two years and held many other leadership positions during her time at Temple University, including Vice President of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons student chapter, as well as class council secretary.
Dr. Patel decided to move back to her home state to complete a 3-year Podiatric Medicine and Surgery/ Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle residency at Larkin Hospital in Miami, Florida. While there, Dr. Patel attended numerous workshops to supplement her surgical education. She received a certificate in laser therapy as well as Keryflex nail restoration in addition to teaching anatomy classes for a Biomedical Science masters program. Dr. Patel is trained in all aspects of forefoot, rearfoot, and ankle surgery and offers a full spectrum of non-surgical podiatric services for the foot and ankle.
Dr. Patel believes strongly in charity work and attended a mission trip to Mexico called “The Crippled Children’s Project” as well as volunteered her time weekly at a local free clinic. The versatility of her residency training has enabled her to provide a broad spectrum of the latest treatment modalities to her patients. Her focus is to spend time with her patients and provide individualized care for them.
Dr. Patel treats patients of all ages for conditions including, but certainly not limited to heel pain, varicose veins, bunions, hammertoes, ingrown nails, fungal nails, fractures, warts, nerve pain, sports-related injuries, wound care, infections, diabetic care/limb salvage, and joint pain. However, she has a special interest in treating the underserved pediatric patient population in the Tampa area and beyond, as shown through her charitable work in Mexico.
When she is not practicing medicine, Dr. Kinna Patel enjoys travelling, writing, volunteering at local events, cultural dance, and spending time with her friends and family.
